Had you ever logged in via Internet Explorer before? IE and windows media player share the same authentication system, and the server checks your logged in status before delivering the videos. If you've got a PC try logging in using IE, (be sure to check the remember me box), and then try viewing the videos again via firefox or IE. If you just use firefox, I think it was behaving this way before...can anybody verify?

I have been using Firefox and it did not behave this way for me before the change.

Been using Firefox for a good long while now and had no problems before the re-vamp.
Could a couple firefox users give the videos another shot? It will probably still prompt you for username/password the first time, but hopefully not on any subsequent video requests.

Ben,

Below a dark square only - nothing further.
Similar result when trying to access the Brian Gay sample.
Burner, I just turned off the embedded video for the time being. There should now be a clickable icon where the video used to be, and it should launch the movie in your default player.

Please report back w/ success or failure.
Thanks
Thanks for persevering with me Ben. However, I am now downloading OK but cannot then view the vid' as "some codecs are missing on the server" , according to the legend that comes up.
Curiously, Lynn, in a new post, has put up the url to this vid' which opens perfectly for me.
Edit:
I have now accessed Lynn's "Swivel" video through the new gallery process and it has opened up satisfactorily. The problem, therefore, seems to lie in the newest additions to the gallery and may just be caused by my running the (now) obsolete Windows 98 SE system.
