Making the clubshaft load/bend?
What makes some players load the clubshaft more than others? Do you guys think it is the startdown? Or just the flex of the shaft?

I know Hogan played really stiff shafts and loaded the heck out of them. I play very shift shafts also to lower the flight and keep spin off. Here is a photo.

I can't wait to hear your feedback.

You don not need a great deal of flex...you just gotta maintain it. You only need about a pound of pressure (I think) to make it happen. Homer suggested stiffer shafts for all levels of player. I think he thought torque to be more disruptive as far as shaft characteristics go. Taking him up on the suggestion I put DG x100 shafts in my irons. As bizarre as it may sound I am now better able to seperate club head from club face. Impact sounds a lot "harder" than it used to. My point here is not to put too much stock in someone's ability to uber flex shafts.
